Journal entries
For anything that isn't money in or out of a bank: depreciation, accruals, corrections. Debits and credits with a live balance check; entries can mix currencies.

Where in the app: Accounting → Journal entries → New entry
- 1
Date and description
The date must be in an open period.
- 2
Lines
An account and a debit or credit on each. The totals update as you type; Balance with last line fills the difference.
- 3
Post
Entries are numbered JE-0001, JE-0002 and so on.
A line on an account in another currency asks for the exchange rate. Totals are always in your main currency.
Change one
Posted entries aren't edited in place. Delete reverses an entry on its own date; Reverse lets an accountant choose the date. Both stay in the journal, so the history is complete.
